The Powermatic 31A 6" × 48" Belt and 12" Disc Sander delivers precision, versatility, and durability for both woodworking and light metalworking applications. The articulating belt head operates vertically, horizontally, or at any angle in between, allowing operators to adapt quickly to edge, surface, and contour sanding. An indexing pin with positive stops at 0°, 45°, and 90° ensures fast, repeatable positioning, while the belt head lock allows precise adjustment beyond preset angles. Precision-ground cast iron tables with miter gauge slots support accurate angle sanding on both the belt and disc. The solid cast iron platen and crowned aluminum drums keep the sanding belt tracking smoothly and evenly. Dual dust ports collect debris from both sanding surfaces, extending abrasive life and keeping the workspace cleaner.
