The Powermatic 37-Inch Wide Belt Sander is engineered for production environments that demand accurate thickness control, consistent surface finishes, and reliable performance under continuous use. Centralized controls place all primary functions within easy reach, simplifying setup and operation. A digital thickness readout allows operators to monitor finished dimensions or preset a target thickness with precision. The integrated auto thicknesser captures the starting thickness of each workpiece, reducing setup time and minimizing trial passes. A variable-speed feed conveyor enables precise adjustment to match material type, grit selection, and finish requirements. A pneumatic sensor system controls sanding belt oscillation to ensure uniform belt tracking and even abrasive wear across the 37" × 75" sanding belt. This helps prevent belt run-off and reduces the likelihood of sanding lines on the workpiece. The WB-37 features a three-motor drive system that independently powers the sanding drums, feed conveyor, and table elevation. This separation delivers smooth operation under load and consistent results in demanding shop conditions. For safety, an integrated disc brake provides rapid machine stoppage in emergency situations.
